Group Policy 方法 (WinXP Pro)

1. run > gpedit.msc
   打開 Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System
2. 如果沒有System一項的話, 右按 Add/Remove Template > Add > 選 system.adm
3. 選 Turn off auto Play > Enabled > All Drives > OK

Registry 方法 (WinXP Home)

1. Run > regedit
2. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
3. 把 NoDriveTypeAutoRun 改為 ff

重新設定 OSX Admin 帳號

用OSX Installation CD起動及打開 Terminal
把系統分區中的 /private /var/db/.AppleSetupDone刪去
移除 OSX Installation CD
動新起動後便會回到第一次登入OSX 的新帳號設定畫面

Android Live CD v2.0 幾個有趣的地方

Browser 可以打開 Google Map (maps.google.com) 但不能移動

因為沒有實體相機, 所以 Camera 程式會顯示一個移動的方格

在 Dev Tools > Development Settings > Show CPU usage 可以看到 CPU 的使用量 (畫面上方的紅綠色線)

剛剛開始接觸 Android 的我對這個系統還是非常陌生.

今天看到有關 Android Live CD 的新聞便馬上下載一份, 並在 VMWare 上試試看. 整個過程都很順利, 只是新增了一個 Virtual Machine, 選擇 Linux 2.6 kernel, 256MB RAM, Bridge Network 便可.

剛開始時遇到最大的難題是沒有硬體按鈕, 所以不知到如何按 menu, back, home 等功能, 最後在 Android Live CD Wiki page 中看到

Arrows(movement), Enter(confirm), Escape key(back), Alt + F1(console),Alt + F7(GUI)

那 menu 及 home key 呢?

原來 menu key 是 MS 104 keyboard 上的 Meun key

現時 v0.2 的版本已支持 DHCP, 所以只要 vmware network setting 中選擇 bridge 及正在連線的 network card, 自動取得 IP 後便可瀏覽網頁了

快速切換螢幕解像度

經常在筆電螢幕, 桌面 LCD 及 Project 間切換, 螢幕解像度經常會出錯, 例如在使用 Projector 時為 800x600, 在Presentation 過後把VGA線移除後系統不會自動更新為筆電螢幕的解像度 1024x768, 要手動在控制台 > 螢幕 > 1024x768.

如要快速切換螢幕解像度, 可以用一個名為 SwitchDisplay V0.12

執行後, 只要加入常用的解像度, 以後只要用 Ctrl+Shift+S 便可以很方便在幾個解像度之間切換.

如何得知電腦中有那些 Folder 正在 Share 呢?

簡單的方法有

Start > Right click My Computer > Manage > ShareFolders > Shares

直接的方法有

Start > Run > Rundll32.exe ntlanui.dll,ShareManage

Can't login to MSN

My MSN can't login and stuck in the "logging in" screen. It told me that my contact list was not available. I've tried many solution on internet, but the problem still hasnt' been fixed.

Any other solution i can try?

Solution:
The problem is caused by the msn login cache. Just remove all files from the directory below. If the following files are reported being used and can't be deleted, reboot windows and remove those files before starting MSN live messenger. My problem was fixed after doing this.
